DualSmart – low power system for emergency lighting

Reduced planning and installation effort – alongside lower costs – are key drivers for emergency lighting system designers, installers and end customers prioritising safe evacuation.  

Eaton’s innovative, mobile app-controlled, DualSmart low power system is ideal for compact applications. The flexible DualSmart units can be used either as standalone systems or in decentralized combinations, eliminating the need for costly fireproofed E30 wiring depending on planning approach. A touch display group controller oversees up to 16 DualSmart systems.

DualSmart’s sleek enclosure houses lithium iron batteries that operate at higher temperatures and produce no explosive hydrogen. Easy control via the intuitive, cybersecure Building Safety Manager mobile app is fully integrated with Eaton’s proven Building Safety Management System (BSMS) and complemented by a similarly user-friendly web interface.

Easy cloud connectivity and powerful app control

DualSmart leverages the ‘anytime, anywhere’ reach of cloud connectivity to deliver easy all-round control via Eaton’s Building Safety Manager mobile app. Fully integrated with our Building Safety Management System (BSMS), the app is available for both Android and iOS and features intuitive system configuration, commissioning and monitoring. A similarly user-friendly web interface enables remote monitoring via dashboard, email notifications and convenient system documentation to meet emergency lighting regulations.

BSMS: system-wide control that's always up to date

Eaton's cloud-based building safety management system (BSMS) has come a long way from its early days as solely a monitoring tool. Today's BSMS is your secure, real-time interface for all life safety systems via mobile or web app – including wireless monitored emergency lighting – enabling rapid, targeted interventions to keep buildings, operational and occupants safe. It also securely stores self-test compliance evidence and logbooks in the cloud.

The beauty of BSMS extends beyond its reach – it's always fully up to date. Every time you use the mobile app to connect to the system for commissioning, configuration, maintenance or access to your monthly report, your device updates to the latest software version.
