xEffect FRCmM-125 Type B, Bfq and B+ residual current circuit breakers

The all-current sensitive FRCmM is part of our xEffect industrial series and suitable for residual current protection and additional protection in the machine building sector.

The range includes selective versions as well as 30 mA versions for operator protection, all equipped with a red-green position indicator. The tripping is independent of the main voltage (alternating current), but 50 V AC is required for detecting direct current.
Design according to
IEC 61008, IEC 62423
Rated current
125 A
Available types
B, Bfq and B+

Core features

  • Free terminal space despite installed busbar
  • High level of protection against nuisance tripping
  • Twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed) at top and bottom
  • The installation position does not affect the functioning of the device
  • Z-HD auxiliary switch can be retrofitted

Reliable protection for machines

These products provide optimal system and additional protection against residual earth leakage currents for a wide range of applications. They come with different tripping characteristics to cater for a variety of electrical systems and components. The devices offer a wide range of nominal currents and comprehensive optional accessories.

The xEffect FRCmM-125 RCCB is available in three different versions:

Type B

All-fault-current sensitive protective devices are designed for use in 50 Hz AC systems featuring electrical equipment such as frequency converters, uninterruptible power supplies, electric vehicle charging systems or high-frequency power converters. These devices correspond to tripping characteristic B as per the IEC 60755 standard and can thus detect all types of fault currents, including pure DC residual currents. In addition, they can also detect all AC residual currents at frequencies up to 100 kHz in undulating (mixed) current applications

Type Bfq

Suitable for use with variable speed drives; designed for household, commercial and industrial applications. This tripping characteristic has been specifically designed for use with frequency converters to prevent nuisance tripping. Protection against all kinds of fault currents.

Type B+

All-current-sensitive RCD switchgear for applications in which DC fault currents may occur. Non-selective, non-delayed. Protection against all kinds of fault currents. Meets the requirements of the VDE 0664-400 standard and thus provides enhanced fire safety.
